Pulling the Covers Over My Head Spread

I have recently come across this spread by Glass Owl in the e booklet 'Personal Growth Spreads' from Aeceltic Tarot. I have found it to be a powerful spread which certainly makes you sit up and take notice!

I like it so much that I intend to offer it on my website at www.beneaththeoak.org.uk

1 - The sleepyhead: You, in your current state

2 - A good reason for staying in bed: This is the problem you don’t want to deal with or the reason why you are feeling down
3 - A good reason for getting out of bed: This is your motivation for getting out of bed and facing the day
4 - The chicken noodle soup or cup of coffee: This is what will nourish your soul or help lift your spirits

What do you think?

  1. Hi Claire, that's an interesting looking spread! I shall definitely try it out :-) As for the cards you drew, would I be right in saying the Moon, the World, Six of Pents and the Sun?

My take would be, you may currently be feeling weighed down by doubts. Problem you don't want to deal with - something to do with feeling you have to be perfect if you're to do anything at all? A good reason to get out of bed - opportunity is there, though it may not be as all encompassing as your ideal, but you still have to go out and look for it. What will lift your spirits - just being outdoors and enjoying the warmth of life - once you're out, you'll like it :-) Obviously, with the proviso that, as you said in your post about what you should tell your tarot reader, that this is a bit of a "just-so" story, without any background...
